I am sure many of you have been wondering where I have been. I took some time to head back home to spend time with my family and friends. I left my computer on the East Coast and have found blogging on my iPad more difficult, so I took a break. The journey I am on is far from over, I am heading back to the East Coast soon to pick up my car and continue South.
I have been asked by many how my trip is going, what my favorite moments have been and I have found it difficult to answer. Each moment I have spent has been incredible, surrounded by friends and supporters, some old, some new. There have been lonely moments but they are few and far between and quickly forgotten when in the company of so many amazing people.
I have no regrets. Quitting my job, throwing my things in storage and leaving my family and friends here was a big jump and I am sure many people thought I was crazy. There were moments that I thought I might be crazy but now I know it would have been crazier to ignore the desire to leave on this journey. I have already grown so much, spending time getting to know the real me and it turns out I like this person. There is still plenty of room for growth and I know that will not end with this trip, it’s a project of a lifetime.
The premise of this blog has been “Losing Weight Off the Interstate” which is still very much a part of this journey I am on but it has also become so much more. I can’t wait to share the next few months with you all.
Thank you all for your love and support!
Below are a few pictures of some of the most important people I my life! My nephew Joe and nieces Megan and Madeline.
